Author Guidelines

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

1. Manuscripts, typed in Microsoft Word with one and a half spacing in Times New Roman font size 12, with at least 4 cm margin on the left-hand side along with two
hard copies, printed on one side of A4 size paper, should be submitted to the Online Paper Submission link at www.chemicc.com

2. Each author of the paper must be the member of the Indian Council of Chemists, otherwise the paper will not be processed.
The fellowship fee is:
     ₹ Rs. 600/- annually, and
     ₹ Rs. 6000/- for Life Members.

3. The Journal publishes Review articles, Research papers, Short communications and Book reviews in all areas of Chemistry.

4. Authors are solely responsible for the contents of the manuscripts and the accuracy of the data therein.

5. The presentation should be logical, accurate, non-ambiguous and brief.

6. The text should be divided into the following sections:

    (a) Abstract
    (b) Introduction
    (c) Experimental
    (d) Results and Discussion
    (e) Acknowledgement
    (f) References
Authors should also provide 3–5 keywords immediately after the abstract.

7. Division within sections should be indicated as subheadings. Extensive review and unnecessary details of earlier work should be avoided.

8. The title should be clear and convey what is the paper about. The first letter of each noun and adjective in the title must be in capital. The title should follow the names of authors and their affiliation.

9. Graphs should be provided strictly in Microsoft Excel; however, those figures which are not possible on MS Excel, neat drawing on draftsman paper with 4 mm stencil
and 0.3 size UNO pen may be provided.

10. Instead of complete spectra of IR, NMR, TGA etc., only the relevant portion, retraced on draftsman paper in 4 × 6 inches size, should be provided.

11. Any portion of the text, for which special type of print is required, must be indicated:

  •  Single underlining for italic type.
  • Double underlining for bold type.

13. Standard abbreviation for technical terms and references should be used.

14. All constants should be expressed strictly in the SI unit.

15. References should be numbered consecutively and these should appear in the text as superscripts at the appropriate place.

16. References must conform to the following pattern:
i. Singh, B.; Pandey, L.; Sharma, J. and Pandey, S.M., Tetrahedron, 38, 1982, 169.
ii. Vogel, A.I., Quantitative Inorganic Analysis, Longmans, London, 1975.
iii. Sinha, A.K. and Swaminathan, P.N., Ed., Water Pollution, Academic Press, New
York, 1993.

17. The number of tables, diagrams and photographs should be what is absolutely necessary. Figures should be numbered with Roman numerals and mentioned
consecutively in the text.

18. Authors are requested to provide us their authentic information and valid e-mail ID for faster communication.

19. Charges: Paper Author should pay INR 2500 after acceptance of paper through online (link will be activating in your dashboard of www.chemicc.com)

 CIRCULATION

  1. The journal is published twice a year:
    • No. 1 in June
    • No. 2 in December
  2. For members of the council, a copy of the journal will be sent free of cost.
  3. Institutional Membership:
    • Rs. 1,000/- (Indian)
    • US $50 (International) per annum.
